April 2025Trainer Training Camp
For anyone wanting a background with common injuries - from team managers, parents & coaches, to those interested in sports therapy.
This course will provide a practical setting to learn basic anatomy, injury assessment and taping techniques for common sports injuries of the ankle, wrist and thumb. You will also cover concussion management and med kit stocking.
This course is a great addition to your tool box or as a refresher for more advanced trainers.

April 2025Bird Presentation, with a live educational bird!
Join Ellis Nature Centre on Saturday April 5 from 12-1:30pm as we host Beaverhills Bird Observatory on our site! They will give a brief presentation of Beaverhills history, what they do, and bird diversity in Alberta. They’ll also be bringing one of their educational birds, who will interact with attendees. This session is limited to 40 people and cannot be exceeded due to the health and safety of the educational bird.
Adult tickets are $10 each. Family Tickets are $15 each and include admission for 2 adults and 2 children. Please email us at info@ellisnaturecentre.ca if you require additional children tickets.

June 2025Kaitlyn's Lady Bug Fun Run
Come join a fun 1/3/5 km run/walk around Bower Ponds ro help support mental health awareness. Kaitlyn volunteered at the Robb Nash Project concerts held across Alberta before she passed away at 19 from a pulmonary embolism. We know do a fun run/walk in her memory and all donations are forwarded to the Robb Nash Project in her memory. The run is on June 20 at 6:30 pm with hamburgers at the end of it. First 50 registered/paid participants receive a medal.
Come out have some fun, and help support this amazing project.
