Min #2 Max #4 Class Details: Reiki Level I is a wonderful beginning to your own healing and spiritual journey as you begin to feel the energy and learn to trust your own instinct – it is a wonderful day of exploration, learning and fun. At this level the student is permanently attuned and connected to the Reiki source of healing energy. Once initiated it allows a person to perform healing on oneself and others. It requires no special alteration of the thinking process to “turn on the flow” of Reiki. By simply placing the hands and opening the heart to love, one automatically brings in the energy. Reiki is a simple, natural, safe method of spiritual healing and self-empowerment for all people. Learn how to apply it to others as well as yourself. This level deals with physical issues and connects the practitioner to the Reiki energy and teaches hands-on Reiki Level I is the foundation for all three degrees, and should be mastered first before the person considered for the next level. • Prerequisites: An open heart and open mind • Preparation: Be kind to yourself, eat healthy foods, drink quality water, exercise and get plenty of rest. Living Life to the Full is for people experiencing depression or anxiety and also benefits anyone seeking to worry less and live a happier life, starting now. The sessions are designed to help participants identify problem areas and give them the tools and skills to make changes. Wellness Recovery Action Planning Eve Class - CMHA

WRAP™ is an eight week course that helps people incorporate wellness tools and strategies into their lives. Thousands of people, world-wide, have successfully used what they learned during a WRAP course to live happier and more satisfying lives while improving connections to their families, their friends, and their community. Initially designed for people with mental health concerns who frequently moved from wellness to increased levels of ill-health, including crisis, WRAP has also been judged effective for people who struggle with the day-to-day management of their lives at work, at school, or at home. WRAP now has been shown to be effective for people with chronic illnesses like diabetes and fibromyalgia or who want to work on weight management and so much more. This is a free course. Commuter Challenge

June 2 to 8 is this year's Commuter Challenge. Grab your bikes, get your walking shoes out from the back of the closet, and coordinate carpool rides with friends and coworkers. The Commuter Challenge is an annual friendly competition nationally to see who can cut back the most on their pollutant emission by choosing alternate transit to get to work. We're taking steps towards a cleaner, greener Red Deer. On Friday the 7th we have 20 free secure bike parking spots waiting for you at City Hall east lawn! Clean Air Day @ Kerry Wood Nature Centre

Wednesday June 5th marks Clean Air Day 2019 Clean Air Day aims to spread awareness about the dangers of the emissions that we put into the air everyday. Red Deer air quality has had some ups and downs, we want to keep it on the ups by encouraging green transport methods. Red Deer Transit and BOLT Regional Public Transit are both offering free transit for the day so that everyone can have a chance to give transit a try We are celebrating at Kerry Wood Nature Centre from 3:00pm till 7:00pm with lots of interactive activities for everyone to enjoy.
