First Friday is a monthly celebration of art in downtown Red Deer, when local galleries stay open late with exhibitions, art experiences, and plenty of opportunities to explore the region’s creative community. Free to attend.

Join us October 2, 5-8pm, for First Fridays: Trudy Golley & Company: Moving Forward.
Celebrated ceramic artist Trudy Golley reunites with five former students, Dawn Candy, Robin Lambert, Julia Massey, Jen Pankratz and Kaleb Romano, now accomplished artists in their own right, for an evening exploring how mentorship shapes a creative practice. The exhibit also features new work Trudy has created since retiring, alongside pieces from her former students. Chat with the artists, hear how their work has evolved since studying with Trudy, and enjoy snacks and refreshments while you explore the show.
