Event Description

Join Orlean Lizotte for this beginner-friendly introduction to the beautiful art of Métis beadwork. Participants will learn fundamental beading techniques and create their very own beaded strawberry, a symbol of health and life in many Indigenous cultures. Throughout the class, we will explore the traditional uses and cultural significance of the strawberry and the history of the Métis beadwork. All materials will be provided, and the workshop fee is $20 to cover the cost of supplies. Suitable for ages 12_ yrs old, Duration 1-2 hours. Pre-registration available.
